Design and synthesis of barium ferrite-based nanocomposite films with highly regulated 3-D structures

Abstract Technical control of filler distribution in polymer composites has been great interest because the structural modulation embedded assembly leads to superior property enhancement with reduced amounts filler. However, sophisticated technologies fillers, including alignment, assembly, filler-to-filler connection and localization nanocomposites, still pose challenges. Herein, we introduce a facile electric field-oriented pin-point technique regulate inorganic fillers composite film without surface modification fillers. Distribution nano powders homogeneous dispersion per-polymer polysiloxane is modulated by utilizing micromold electrodes protruded surfaces under DC field while curing polymer. Analysis revealed that filament-like linear assemblies particles were created hybrid films, these aligned perpendicular plane. Comparing setups where no voltage was applied, flat electrode led structures between electrodes, enabling precise arrangement strong intensity localized protrusions. The dependences structure generation, on microscopic mold, applied strength are discussed.
